南加福岡県人会は、2026年2月1日（日）午前11時より、トーランスのミヤコ・ハイブリッド・ホテルにて新年会を開催いたしました。多くの会員およびご来賓の皆様にご出席いただき、新たな一年の幕開けを祝う華やかなひとときとなりました。 第一部は、大川様による琴の演奏で幕を開けました。澄んだ音色が会場に響き渡り、新春にふさわしい厳かな雰囲気に包まれました。 司会・長谷川様の開会の辞の後、出席者全員で黙祷を捧げました。続いて来賓紹介が行われ、在ロサンゼルス日本国総領事館副領事 前川晏寿様をはじめ、南加県人会協議会副会長 トイダ・マユミ様、各県人会代表の皆様、NISEI WEEK FOUNDATION関係者の皆様をご紹介いたしました。 会長 古賀様より新年のご挨拶があり、本会のこれまでの歩みへの感謝と、今後の展望についての力強いメッセージが述べられました。 祝辞では、前川副領事様、トイダ副会長様より温かいお言葉を頂戴し、また上田国際交流センター長よりのメッセージが紹介されました。 続いて鏡開きが行われ、新年の健康と繁栄を祈念いたしました。遠藤様のご発声による乾杯で祝宴が始まり、参加者は和やかな雰囲気の中、食事と歓談を楽しみました。 ランチ後にはラッフルが行われ、会場は笑顔と歓声に包まれました。 第二部では、福岡太鼓クラブ（杉野様）による迫力ある太鼓演奏、坂東秀十美様による優雅な日本舞踊、松前会（門司様）による民謡が披露され、日本文化の美しさと伝統の魅力を改めて感じる時間となりました。 最後は坂東先生のリードのもと、出席者全員で炭坑節を踊り、会場が一体となって新年の門出を祝いました。 本新年会は、新しい一年への希望と決意を共有するとともに、会員同士の絆をさらに深める有意義な集いとなりました。

On Sunday, February 1, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM, the Nanka Fukuoka Kenjinkai held its 2026 New Year Celebration at the Miyako Hybrid Hotel in Torrance. Members and distinguished guests gathered to welcome the new year together in a festive and meaningful setting. The celebration opened with an elegant koto performance by Ms. Okawa, whose beautiful music created a dignified and celebratory atmosphere. MC Ms. Hasegawa delivered the opening remarks, followed by a moment of silent tribute observed by all attendees. Distinguished guests were introduced, including Deputy Consul Maekawa of the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles, Vice President Toyda of the Southern California Kenjinkai Association Council, representatives of various Kenjinkai organizations, and representatives from the Nisei Week Foundation. President Koga delivered New Year’s greetings, reflecting on the association’s accomplishments and future aspirations. Congratulatory remarks were offered by Deputy Consul Maekawa and Vice President Toyda, and a message from Director Ueda of the International Exchange Center was shared. A traditional kagami-biraki ceremony followed, symbolizing prosperity and good fortune for the coming year. Mr. Endo led the toast, officially beginning the luncheon. After lunch, a lively raffle brought excitement and laughter to the gathering. The second half of the celebration featured powerful taiko drumming by the Fukuoka Taiko Club (Mr. Sugino), elegant Japanese dance by Bando Hidetomi, and traditional folk songs performed by Matsumaekai (Mr. Moji). The celebration concluded with everyone joining together in Tankobushi, led by Bando-sensei, marking a joyful and unified start to the new year. The 2026 New Year Celebration once again provided a meaningful opportunity to begin the year with gratitude, cultural pride, and strengthened community bonds.
